A Memphis native, Robinson Bridgeforth is a gifted and well versed drummer whose love for his craft and the art of music goes beyond words and transcends into a realm of feeling, soul and understanding. He began playing drums at the age of two and was playing on the legendary Beale St. by the age of three. While only a "young gun", he has been given and acquired a good amount of knowledge, wisdom and experience in his craft and music. Robinson cites Herbie Hancock, Clyde Stubblefield, Will Kennedy and Dennis Chambers as some of his key influences but credits much of his acquired knowledge and growth to his mentor Jahleel Eli (Public Enemy) and band directors James Robertson (Isaac Hayes) and Justin Johnson (Bluecoats; US Army All-American Marching Band). Robinson has worked with many of Memphis' local artists of all genres, Grammy nominee and Dove Award recipient Mr. Del (formerly of the Oscar winning rap group Three 6 Mafia), blues legend Blind Mississippi Morris, and toured the U.S. and Europe with guitarist Jeff Jensen from 2013 to 2015. He also teaches drums at the School of Rock in Memphis,TN and is a genuine endorsor of Hendrix Drums.
